Nancy Greene's Cahilty Lodge (800-244-8424; 578-7454; $$–$$$$), a full-service condo-hotel with studios and large family units, is practically on the slopes just steps away from all village activities. This is home to Olympic Ski champion, Nancy Greene and husband Al Raine. Nancy's gold and silver Olympic medals are displayed in the lobby. Laundry facilities, a reading room, fitness center, hot tub, restaurant and bar are also on the premises. Complimentary underground parking

Sundance Lodge (800-483-2888; 578-0200; $$–$$$$; above) sits right at the base of the beginner's platter lift a short walk to the Sundance Express. All of the western-styled units have kitchens, coffee makers and microwaves. You'll also find a fitness center, hot tub, restaurant and shops.

The 226-room Delta Sun Peak Resort (866-552-5516; 578-6000; $$–$$$$) is one of the only hotels in the village that's not owner-owned. The full-service, four diamond hotel includes shops, a business center, laundry facilities, an indoor/outdoor pool, three hot tubs, fitness center, spa, steam room and sauna, babysitting, game rooms, gourmet restaurant and a nightclub. The addition of this luxury property to the Sun Peaks Village raises the bar for the level of service at the resort.

The Hearthstone Lodge (888-659-2211; 578-8588; $$–$$$) and Fireside Lodge (888-659-2211; 578-8588; $$–$$$; right), across from Cahilty Lodge are both ski-in/ski-out condominium hotels with deluxe studios and suites. All suites have kitchens or kitchenettes, fireplaces and high-speed cable access. Plus there are fitness centers, hot tubs and restaurants (see Dining).The Heffley Inn (866-812-8333; 578-8343; $$) is a 26-room, European-style boutique hotel in the center of the village with a hot tub, sauna and steam room. Also available are underground parking and high-speed internet as well as a restaurant.(see Dining).

The Sun Peaks International Hostel (578 0057; $), a large rustic lodge at the base of the Burfield lift, offers slopeside accommodation from C$20 per person. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, commissary, large lounge area, Internet access, private and semi private rooms and ski/snowboard storage lockers. It's at the bottom of Tod Mountain, just over half a mile from the main village. Reservations are recommended at least a couple of weeks ahead.

There is also a hostel in Kamloops. A stately brick building, once the provincial courthouse, houses the Old Courthouse Hostel (866-782-9526; $). A one-night ski package with lift ticket goes for C$54. Membership in Hostelling International gets you cut rates, usually less than C$40 for a private room for two.

The Pinnacle Lodge & Spa (866-578-7850; 578-7850), at the base of the Mt. Morissey slopes is a first class traditional Canadian lodge. Suites include TV, fireplaces, robes, wireless internet access and all high-end amenities. Enjoy their Essential Spa, award-winning Kia-Ora dining room and complimentary continental breakfast.
