The Mansion on the Hill (786-4455; $$$), a B&B in Kellogg that also owns The Veranda (see Dining), offers rooms, cottages and breakfast in a cozy setting. A day spa is on the premises.

The most affordable place to stay is at the base of the gondola at the Baymont Inn, formerly Super 8 Motel (800-785-5443; 783-1234; $–$$). It’s next to the gondola base, extremely clean, with an indoor pool, hot tub and serves a continental breakfast in the lobby. Silver Ridge Mountain Lodge ((800-435-2588) is close to the gondola village.The Trail Motel (784-1161; $-$$), clean and comfortable with restaurants nearby, is half a mile from the gondola village.

Silverhorn Motor Inn & Restaurant (738-1151; $-$$) located six blocks from the gondola village, has an indoor hot tub, restaurant, movie library and a free laundry.
