Group lessons: The Ski & RIde Center (800-831-8810) offers lessons for all abilities as well as daycare. Skis, snowboards and other snowsport equipment is available for rental. Custom group lessons are limited to three per class, so you’ll get plenty of attention from the instructor. One-hour lessons cost $35. A package including lessons, gear and lift ticket costs $85; a three-day package costs $210.

First-timer package: First-time skiers and riders get a lesson with beginner lift ticket and rentals for $65. A three-day package costs $119. Each lesson is between one and two hours long, depending upon number of students. After your lesson you can upgrade to an all-mountain lift ticket for $35.

Private lessons: $85 for one hour; $180 for a half day; $330 for a full day. First or last lesson of the day costs $65 ($95 for 2-5 people).

Racing: NASTAR races are held Friday through Sunday.
