Children's lessons: The Snowbasin Grizzly Cub Snowsports Learning Center inspires children to actively learn and enjoy skiing and snowboarding in a fun and safe environment. Children are matched with dedicated instructors who tailor their lessons around the needs and abilities of each student. Each child learns the basic fundamentals through well-developed activities that are fun, exciting and adventurous.

Children 5 to 6 years start at Snowbasin’s Wildflower Meadow; a large fenced area with a gentle slope, which allows children to first experience the mountain environment away from the busy slopes. Here children orient themselves to the motions of skiing by walking and playing in their skis and boots. The Wildflower Meadow features colorful arches, tunnels, an elephant slide, a mouse rocker and replicas of “wild animals,” all designed to spark a child’s interest and imagination.
