By air: Calgary Airport is served by major airlines, including Air Canada. Rocky Mountain Sky Shuttle (888-762-8754; 762-5200), Brewster Transportation (762-6700), Laidlaw Transportation (762-9102) or Banff Airporter (762-3330) will get you from the airport to Banff or Lake Louise.

By car: Lake Louise Village is 115 miles west of Calgary and 36 miles from Banff.

Getting around: Bus service is available from the airport directly to most hotels. The Lake Louise Mountain Resort shuttlebus is free and operates from most hotels to the base of the ski lifts. Buy the Tri-Area ski pass and your bus transportation is included. Check the websites for shuttles schedules and fares. A car is recommended for extensive sightseeing.
