Other activities (Area Code 970)
The
Adventure Passport is free with a stay at Keystone Resort's
lodging properties. It gives you free activities on and off the
mountain, which have included yoga, wine tastings,
horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, snowshoeing, cross-country
skiing and more. Make sure to take advantage of it. All non-skiing
activities are booked by calling the Adventure Center at (800) 354-4386
or locally, 496-4386.
Adventure Point at the top of Dercum Mountain
is the place to head for frighteningly fast tubing and snowbiking. Through the activity center 4Fun, you can book two-hour guided snowmobile tours through the National
Forest. Take control and be the driver, or simply ride along as
a passenger. Reservations are required at both places. Ice skating in the
middle of Keystone Village is open every day and night. The outdoor
lake is reportedly the largest Zamboni-maintained outdoor rink in North America. Skate rentals are
available. The fitness center at Keystone Lodge features massages,
steam room, outdoor heated pool, cardio and weight rooms, and
a hot tub.
A nearby full-service day spa, Serenity
Spa & Salon (513-9002), uses natural products from Aveda.
Therapists, treatments and service here match the excellence one
expects from a salon carrying the world-renowned name. For warmth
after the cold, try the Floating Massage with warm water cushions
cradling your body. The spa menu lists a full array of salon services,
including manicures for men. The Spa at Keystone Lodge (496-4118)
features specialized massages, facials and body treatments for every
pampering need. Create your own experience from the signature collection
for an hour or an entire day; even have a massage in the privacy
of your own room.
River Run Village has some very good shops, mostly selling upscale costume jewelry, Native American pottery and crafts, and elegant clothing. Gorsuch is the standard for a classy retailer of ski merchandise. You'll also find a few of the standard souvenir and T-shirt shops in Keystone Village. Nearby good shopping is in Breckenridge
or the Silverthorne
Factory Stores.
If you need medical care, the Keystone Medical
Center (468-6677) is as good as it gets in Colorado. Operated
by Vail Valley Medical Centers, this facility has a "level
V" trauma center designation which means whatever you've got,
they can fix. Altitude sickness, broken bones, gashes, sprung knees
and beyond, these people are experts. Oxygen available; 1252 County Rd., call for hours.

County for other activities.
