 Child
care: Ages 3 to 7 years (toilet-trained). Cost is $48 for a
half day (10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. or 2–4 p.m.); $75 for
all day. Diamond Peak's Bee Ferrato Child Ski Center is named for
its director, a New Zealand native every kid will want to adopt
as a grandmother. Reservations required; call (775) 832-1130.
Other
options: Baby's Away (800-446-9030; 530-544-2229) rents
and will deliver baby items (cribs, strollers, toys, etc.) to your
hotel or condo. Away Wee Go Baby Equipment Rentals (775-690-3379)
is another option. For babysitting referrals, call North

Children's
lessons: All-day group lesson, rentals, ticket and supervised
lunch for children 7–12 costs $90. All-day group lesson with
lunch for kids 4–7 costs $95 plus $20 for rentals. Children
ages 3 and up can enroll in Diamond Pete’s Special: two-hour
private lesson, two-hours of child care, rentals, lift and lunch
for $180. Three-year-olds can also take private lessons: $75 for
one hour, $140 for two hours. Reservations are required for private
