Lodging in the Big White mountain village ranges from hostels, hotels and condos to private chalets, all ski-in/ski-out. Big White Central Reservations (800-663-2772 in North America; 765-8888) is a one-stop shop for accommodation and package vacation needs. You can also visit the website for accommodation details.

Chateau Big White ($$–$$$$; right) is close to services in the Village Plaza. Each room has two queen beds, galley kitchen with mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker. All units have a gas fireplace and sitting area. The hotel has a lounge, four-star restaurant, day spa, underground parking and hot tub.

The Inn at Big White ($$–$$$$), across the street from the Chateau, has 100 rooms, an outdoor pool and hot tub, fitness room, restaurant and lounge. White Crystal Inn ($$–$$$$), a European-style hotel in the heart of the village, features various room types, some with kitchenettes, all with cable TV and phones. It has an outdoor hot tub, restaurant and a great slopeside lounge.

Condominiums and vacation homes, all new or recently built, range in size from one to four bedrooms, and feature full bathrooms and kitchens. Some units have gas fireplaces, balconies and private hot tubs. Choose from Stonebridge Lodge ($$$–$$$$), Trappers' Crossing ($$$–$$$$), Timber Ridge ($$$–$$$$), Tree Tops ($$$–$$$$), Black Bear ($$$–$$$$), Grizzly Lodge ($$–$$$$) and Blacksmith Lodge ($$$–$$$$).

Chateau On The Ridge ($$–$$$) features condos with kitchens, gas fireplaces and outdoor common hot tubs. Das Hofbrauhaus ($–$$$) is slopeside with an indoor pool, hot tub and racquetball courts, a restaurant and lounge. Eagles Resort ($$–$$$) offers 20 three-bedroom condos with gas fireplaces and kitchens, and a large hot tub on the property. Graystoke Inn ($$) has one- and two-bedroom condos with an adjacent common outdoor hot tub.

The Monashee Inn ($$–$$$) gives an unsurpassed view of the Monashee Mountains. The Ponderosa Inn ($–$$$), on the Easy Street trail, is family-oriented and has a hot tub and sauna.

In the heart of the village, Whitefoot Lodge ($–$$) features a hot tub, sauna with a cold plunge and a laundry. Some rooms have kitchenettes. It also has a restaurant, lounge and grocery/liquor/video store.

Ptarmigan Inn ($$–$$$) is next to the village and has hot tubs, a plunge pool and sauna. One- and two-bedroom units are available. Snowpine Estates ($$–$$$$; left) has big chalets, either single-family or duplex, all with ski-in/ski-out access.

The slopeside SameSun Backpacker Ski Lodge (877-562-2783; 545-8933; $) is a hostel with dorm rooms, private rooms and deluxe rooms. Recent renovations included upgrading all the private rooms and adding hardwood floors throughout. Guests have access to a large entertainment area, common kitchen/dining areas, a 12-person hot tub, a theatre room equipped with a big screen satellite TV and Internet access.

The RV park ($) provides easy access to the Black Forest Express lift. It has 32 full-service hookups with water, sewer, 30-amp electrical and cable TV. A chalet, hot tub and washroom with showers are on-site. Rates are C$30 per night.
