Child care: Ages 18 months to 6 years. It costs C$60 for a full day (lunch included); C$36 for a half day. Multiday discounts are available. Hourly rate is C$14. Ages 3–4 can add a lesson to the child-care program; C$99, including child care.

Located in the Village Plaza, the Kids Centre recommends

reservations; 765-3101, ext. 233. Parents/guardians must provide proof of birth date (either birth certificate or passport), immunization history and health insurance number. The resort accommodates dietary needs based on allergies and also requests that no nut products are brought into the child-care center. Big White's award-winning child-care program is recognized world-wide as top-notch.

Children’s programs: Ages 4–12, a full day costs C$86 and includes lunch; half day costs C$48. Program for kids ages 4–6 includes indoor play time; snowboard lessons start at age 7. Private lessons are available and range from C$99 to C$350, depending upon the length of time.

The resort recommends all children wear helmets; rental is free but supplies are limited. A note about the kids' instruction center: It's recognized as an excellent program for kids. Security is tight. Parents are given pagers.

Special activities: The Kids' Centre offers Kids After Dark, supervised evening programs including Pizza and Movie Night, Craft Night, Torchlight Parade, Carnival Night, and Skating and Tubing Parties. Bookings can be made at the Kids' Centre prior to 3 p.m. on the day offered.
